From the slums of Dandora in Nairobi, Kenya, Sheila developed a passion of creating jewelry by hand as a hobby at the age of 15. Unable to afford to go to college after graduating high school, Sheila turned her hobby into a small business by selling her handmade jewelry to the local people and to tourists. Over the years, her younger sister came to the United States of America and continued selling her jewelry at craft shows in Columbia, Missouri. Following the success of sales at these craft shows, www.sheilass.com was born to share her talent all over the world.
